Hiking River Place Nature Trail

Yesterday, I went out hiking at River Place Trail in NW Austin. This trail has about 5300 steps and is about 5.5 miles long. I only hiked three miles since doing the whole trail is very strenuous. The weather was hot and humid, so it wasn’t a very nice day for a hike. The Saharan dust also made it very hazy. River Place Nature trail is one of the hardest trails in the area.

I decided to snap off a few pictures, despite the hazy conditions. I brought my Nikon D7000 and shot with a 35 1.8. This makes the camera light and easy to carry. Since these pics were not important, I shot in 12 bit compressed raw and JPEG Normal in order to save space. My JPEG setting was size priority.

I processed all the pictures in Lightroom. I am a big fan of dehaze and I applied this to all of my pictures. As always, I have tweaked the saturation along with shadows and highlights.
