I recently bought Shallowlulu Men’s Cargo Hiking Shorts on Amazon. This is a no-name brand that I found on Amazon, and I tried them out since they were cheap. They are $32.99 on Amazon.
Since these are built for hiking, they are made of quick-drying material and are thin. The material is 88 percent nylon and 12 percent spandex. The spandex makes the shorts flexible. As always, when I look at shorts or pants, I like to have pockets. These shorts have two back pockets, cargo pockets, front slash pockets, and one small pocket on the right side. The pockets are made of mesh material, and there is also a D-Ring on the right side.
The small pocket on the right side is why I wanted to try these shorts. In this pocket, I keep my flashlight and knife clipped on this pocket. This provides gear separation for me and makes things easier to access. As usual, cargo pockets are great for storing gear you made need.
The shorts also came with a belt, which I found useless since it was a thin belt. I recommend this belt if you want an actual belt that does a great job of holding your shorts up. Since this belt is thick, it will not have to be tightened up as much as a thin belt. Also, this belt is American-made. Daltech also offers a lot of other belts on their website.
These shorts are great and are cheap, but there is one catch. I would not recommend them if you are left-handed since there is no small pocket on the left side, and the D-Ring is also located on the right side. However, if you are left-handed, I recommend Propper Men’s Summerweight Tactical Shorts.
