Road trip to Caprock Canyons

I recently did a road trip to Caprock Canyons state park which is located near Lubbock, TX. It is approximately 400 miles West of Austin, TX. I did encounter some rain, but it did clear up the next day and I was able to hike and get some  pictures of landscapes and some bison. There is a herd of about 150 bison that are in the park and are wild.

It was nice to go on a road trip since I had not been on an overnight trip in about four years. The park in my opinion looks a lot like Palo Duro canyon, which is much more popular and is near Amarillo, TX.

For these pictures I used my Nikon D850 and  for my lenses I used a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR. Overall it was a good park and I will post some pictures.
